Michael started BlackHill Law because he’s been where you are.

Before law school, he was an aspiring entrepreneur who couldn’t afford the lawyers and accountants he needed to get off the ground. LLC vs. corporation, S Corp elections, contracts, banking, QuickBooks, he had to figure it all out himself. That experience stuck with him, and it shaped everything about how he practices law today.

He went on to spend a decade working with private equity firms and helping startups raise capital through crowdfunding. The work was sophisticated, but it felt transactional. He wasn’t having the kind of impact he wanted: the kind that actually touches a person’s livelihood, their family, and their future.

So he built BlackHill to do things differently. Clear answers, fair pricing, and counsel designed for people who are building something from nothing.
